My bbyz, tapping the heart button is a fabulous, totally free way of showing your support for these monthly mailouts (hint hint)
Hi tarot besties,
A belated welcome to September from me to you.
What are you excited about as the seasons change? What are you hopeful for? What are you planning for this new academic year, this last quarter? I want to know, tell meeee!
Me? I’m busy, but in like a ‘planning and preparing for the shit you really care about’ way, more than a ‘it’s all go, it’s all happening, it’s all noooow!’ kind of way. A definite theme for this month, as far as the cards are concerned - check out the offering below.
Here’s to slow and steady growth… and making good choices,

Wtf are the cards saying?
The Lovers: Make Aligned Choices
Despite its saucy name, The Lovers card is not strictly about love or relationships. Rather, I think it encapsulates what tends to sit at the centre of a good relationship: making solid (if sometimes hard) decisions, respecting values, and understanding desires. So, this month, The Lovers are asking us to be honest about where we’re heading. Are we being authentic to our hearts? Are we making room for true fulfillment and joy? Where are we compromising for the sake of comfort or appearance? Are we in alignment with what matters most to us? Can we take this next month to connect to our passions, our truths, the loud AND quiet voices inside us that tell us what path we really want? If we can embrace this process, we’ll be better equipped to make some authentic choices that lead us down the path meant for us, rather than opting for easy wins that could lead us astray.
The King of Pentacles: Lead with Integrity
The King of Pentacles steps in to remind us that leadership and stability can be powerful tools when used with integrity. It can be easy to look at the King of Pentacles, also referred to as the Father of Coins, or (in my head) as the Sugar Daddy, and assume it’s all about acquiring wealth and power, getting to a place of immense prestige and comfort. But the Pentacles family is first and foremost connected to the earth - they are stewards of a great natural ecosystem, and understand the importance of balance, boundaries, and protecting biodiversity. What I’m saying, is that the Sugar Daddy might have turned up to remind us to build a life that is grounded, steady, and abundant - in our own terms. We can seek security, stability, personal gain and reward without losing our souls, our humanity, our accountability in the process. Connecting with our true values and desires - as per the helpful suggestion of the Lovers - can help with this. Lead with confidence, absolutely, but let your choices reflect the life you actually want, not the life society tells you you “should” want.
The Seven of Pentacles: Trust the Timing
Patience is a key theme with the Seven of Pentacles. We’ve been planting seeds and putting in the work, but this card encourages us to step the fuck back, reflect, and trust in the slow magic of growth. Not everything will bloom right away, and that’s okay. BELIEVE ME, no one is more annoyed at the appearance of this card than me - I have some seeds I’ve been planting, watering, and singing to that I’m DESPERATE to yield fruit. The idea that I just have to wait until the right moment to see my rewards, makes my not so inner control freak clench like a mf. But it’s true. The rewards we seek - especially if they’re things we truly care about - can take time. And maybe, this month is about learning to honor that process. We can reassess goals if we really want to, and make any necessary adjustments, but don’t rush or force things to happen. Growth comes in its own time.
